What is the lead time for orders?

The lead time includes both the production of your nail set and the delivery. For orders placed via the website (with fixed designs), we typically require 2-3 weeks to complete your set before shipping.

  • Local delivery: 3-4 days
  • International delivery: Up to 4-5 weeks

For custom orders, the lead time can extend to up to 6 weeks depending on the complexity of the design. If you need your set by a specific date, please reach out to us to confirm the lead time.

What is the difference between Custom and Website orders?

All of our nail sets are made to order.

  • Website Orders: These are pre-designed sets available on our website. While the designs are fixed, each set is custom-made based on your chosen size and shape. The production time typically takes 1-2 weeks before shipping.
  • Custom Orders: These sets are fully personalized. You have the freedom to create a unique design by selecting from an unlimited range of shapes, sizes, colors, and styles. Due to the detailed customization process, production for custom orders can take up to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity.

Are you able to do rush orders?

Because all of our sets are handmade and often highly intricate, we do not advice rushing our artists. We want to ensure they have enough time to perfect your dream set without compromising quality. While our artists strive for perfection, each set is handcrafted, so small differences may occur between sets.

If you have a specific deadline, feel free to contact us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request within reason.

Why choose press-on nails?

Press-on nails are ideal for those who may face difficulties with salon visits due to allergies, religious reasons, or the hassle of appointments.

Beyond being reusable, Kurono press-on's emphasize artistry and intricacy. Each set is handcrafted with care, offering a level of customization and detail that sets us apart from mass-produced brands. Our designs cater to your individual style, ensuring a personalized, luxury experience.

What's included in an order?

Each set comes with a complimentary press-on kit to ensure an easy application. You can find our Press-On Kit Application Guide:

  • 1 set of sticky adhesive tabs (2 sets for international orders)
  • 1 nail glue (excluded in international orders due to shipping regulations)
  • 1 wooden cuticle pusher
  • 1 nail file
  • 1 nail buffer
  • 2 alcohol swabs

For international orders, nail glue will be replaced with an additional set of sticky adhesive tabs due to SingPost shipping regulations.

Difference between nail glue and sticky adhesive tabs?

Nail glue provides a strong, long-lasting bond, making it ideal for extended wear. However, removal requires acetone, which can dissolve and damage the press-on nails.

Sticky adhesive tabs, on the other hand, offer a gentler hold and are easily removed with warm water and soap. They are perfect for temporary wear or those who prefer not to use glue. For more details on the removal process, check out our Instagram @nailswithkuro.

What is the retention for using sticky tabs and nail glue?

With nail glue, you can expect your press-on nails to last 1-3 weeks with proper care, providing a strong hold for extended wear.

Sticky tabs can last up to a week or more with proper care, but we strongly advise our customers to remove them within 3-5 days to prevent dirt and debris from seeping through. If you need more sticky tabs, please head to our store to purchase a pack!

Am I able to request a refund?

Kurono does not accept refunds, as all sets are made-to-order. Our artists invest a significant amount of time drafting and preparing each set to ensure they meet our high standards. We carefully check that every order is in perfect condition before it is packed and shipped.

However, if you receive the wrong items due to courier mishaps, we will work with you to arrange a solution. For more details, please review our Refund/Returns Policy.

Can I return a set if it does not fit me?

We do not accept returns for sets that don’t fit, as all sets are made-to-order based on your chosen size and shape. It’s crucial that all customers measure their nails accurately before ordering. We provide a standardized sizing chart for guidance.

If you're unsure of your size, we offer complimentary sizing kits for custom orders. For website orders, you can also purchase a sizing kit if you plan on ordering more than one set. Sizing kits are highly recommended for local orders.

Local delivery:

  • 3-4 business days.

Standard International delivery:

  • For major cities: 3-21 business days.
  • For more remote locations: Delivery can take longer, up to 24 business days.

Express International delivery:

  • All destinations: 3-5 working days
  • We use FedEx International Priority®
  • Please take note that Malaysia and Brunei does not have an express delivery option at the moment.

For popular destinations like the U.S, kindly take note that the average delivery time period is around 4 weeks unless you have opted for express delivery.

Please note that international delivery times vary depending on the destination country. Delays may occur due to customs clearance or festive periods.

Difference between Standard and Express International Delivery

For standard international delivery, orders are shipped via SingPost Airmail and take approximately 2-7 weeks to arrive, depending on the destination country (excluding potential delays). Since our handmade press-on nail sets typically require 1-2 weeks to create before shipping, the overall lead time can be lengthy. To address this, we offer an express international delivery option with FedEx International Priority, which delivers within 2-3 days (excluding delays), significantly reducing your wait time and ensuring a faster and safer delivery.

While parcels shipped with SingPost have tracking up to the point they leave Singapore, tracking availability in the destination country varies. For example, countries like the United States and Australia may not provide tracking updates once the parcel arrives at its destination country. With FedEx International Priority, however, your order is tracked throughout the entire journey, giving you more visibility and peace of mind.

Our express international shipping is available at a flat rate of $50 SGD. Additionally, orders over $350 SGD qualify for free express delivery. Standard international delivery costs range from $11-$25 SGD, depending on the destination. Please note that it is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to monitor their parcel and report any unusual delays to the courier.

Extreme Delays in Shipping Time

Due to recent hurricanes in the United States and abnormal weather conditions, couriers may experience delays that could extend shipping times by a few weeks. While we strive to ensure that your package reaches you safely, we cannot guarantee timely delivery under these circumstances.

Although our store maintains a strict policy on refunds, we understand the challenges posed by these extreme conditions. In such cases, we are committed to working closely with you to find the best possible resolution if your sets do not reach you. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we will do our best to assist you during these unprecedented times.

Local Shipping Time

Local orders are typically shipped 1-2 weeks after the press-on nail sets are completed. Delivery usually takes 1-3 days (excluding any courier delays).

Once your set has been picked up by the courier, tracking details will be sent directly to your email or inbox, allowing you to monitor the progress of your order.

What should I do if I suspect my parcel is lost?

In the event your mail has been marked as delivered (or is still in transit) and you have not received it within 6 weeks, please drop us a DM on Instagram at @nailswithkuro or email us at theluxnailclub@kurono.store.

Please note that it may take time for us to communicate with the courier, so we kindly ask for your patience. The waiting period for lost mail can extend up to 3 months as the courier attempts to trace the parcel.

While we do not offer refunds, we will work with you to find the best solution moving forward.

Sizing FAQ

Why Do Some Nails Not Fit Despite Accurate Sizing?

For certain designs, such as sets with heavy 3D gel elements and layered details like 'Jazz Club 808,' the curing process can cause the nails to become more rigid, making them slightly smaller than intended.

To remedy this at home, we suggest gently pressing the nail against a warm or hot glass of water to help expand it. Alternatively, we recommend consulting with our artists about sizing or sizing up before purchasing certain nail designs.

Update as of 2025:
We have introduced a new "Sizing and Shape" tab for every press-on nail design on our website. This section provides detailed information about whether a design is true to size or if sizing up is recommended due to heavy 3D elements.

The Most Accurate Way to Get Your Sizing

The best way to ensure an accurate fit is by opting for a sizing kit! Since everyone has different nail curvatures and shapes, we recommend consulting with our artists if you need assistance selecting the right shape for your sizing kit.

Can I Request Custom Nail Tips?

Our team is working on offering more variety to suit every customer's needs. For now, the shapes available on our website are the options we offer. If you'd like more customized choices, feel free to leave us a message on our enquiry page here.

Tracking FAQ

Does Standard International Delivery offer detailed tracking?

Our Standard International Delivery follows SingPost's Registered Service (International), which does not provide detailed online tracking capabilities. It is not mandatory for registered items to be scanned at every stage of the delivery process, whether for local or overseas delivery. However, in most cases, tracking is available up to the point where your parcel has been handed over to the destination country's courier. Beyond this, tracking updates may not be available or will depend on the delivery protocols of the local courier.

More about our International FedEX Express Delivery Option

Our FedEx Express International Delivery option provides detailed tracking for your orders. When you choose this shipping method, your items will typically be delivered to your doorstep within 5 days. Tracking updates will cover every stage of the shipment, from the time it is picked up to its final delivery at your address, regardless of the destination country.

You will receive notifications directly from FedEx once your item has been delivered. To ensure seamless international delivery, please include a valid phone number at checkout when selecting this shipping option, as it is required for contact purposes.

Tracking local orders

All local orders will include comprehensive tracking from start to finish. If your order is marked as delivered but you have not received it, please send us a DM on Instagram at @nailswithkuro or email us at theluxnailclub@kurono.store.

What does Arrival at Destination Post (Country: US) mean?

If your order status shows this, it means your parcel has been handed over to your country’s local courier. This does not mean that your parcel has been delivered to you yet. Tracking updates may stop at this point, depending on your country’s courier system.
